Terms of Service

Article 1 (Applicability)

1. These Terms aim to define the conditions for providing the Service and the relationship of rights and obligations between the operator and Users regarding the use of the Service, and shall apply to all relationships between Users and the operator concerning the use of the Service.
2. In addition to these Terms, the operator may establish various separate rules and regulations regarding the Service (hereinafter referred to as “Individual Terms”). These Individual Terms shall constitute a part of these Terms.
3. If the provisions of these Terms conflict with the provisions of the Individual Terms, the provisions of the Individual Terms shall take precedence and apply.

Article 2 (Copyright and Intellectual Property Rights)

1. All copyrights and other intellectual property rights regarding text, images, videos, and other content published on the Site (hereinafter referred to as “Content”) belong to the operator or the third parties holding legitimate rights.
2. The intellectual property rights of news articles, summaries, images, and other information obtained from external sources and published on the Site belong to their respective original rights holders. Users must respect the rights of these external providers.
3. Users may not reproduce, reprint, publicly transmit, modify, or otherwise use the Content in any manner without the prior written consent of the operator or the third parties holding legitimate rights.

Article 3 (Prohibited Matters)

In using the Service, Users shall not engage in any of the following acts:

• – Acts that violate laws, regulations, or public order and morals, or acts related to criminal behavior.
• – Acts that destroy or interfere with the functions of the Site’s servers or networks.
• – Acts of commercially utilizing information obtained through the Service.
• – Acts that infringe upon the intellectual property rights, portrait rights, privacy rights, honor, or other rights or interests of other Users, the operator, or third parties.
• – Acts of transmitting information through the Service that contains excessively violent expressions or explicit sexual expressions.
• – Acts of transmitting information through the Service that contains expressions that promote discrimination, suicide, or self-harm.
• – Acts of transmitting information through the Service that contains antisocial content that causes discomfort to others.
• – Other acts that the operator deems inappropriate.

Article 4 (Suspension or Interruption of the Service)

The operator may suspend or interrupt the provision of all or part of the Service without prior notice to Users if any of the following circumstances apply:

• – When performing maintenance, inspection, or updates of the computer system related to the Service.
• – When the provision of the Service becomes difficult due to force majeure such as earthquakes, lightning, fire, power outages, or natural disasters.
• – When computers, communication lines, or other infrastructure stop due to an accident.
• – In any other cases where the operator deems it difficult to provide the Service.

Article 5 (Disclaimers)

1. The operator does not guarantee that the Service is free from factual or legal defects.
2. The information provided through the Service is intended solely for the purpose of introducing scientific research findings and news, and does not constitute medical diagnosis, treatment, or professional advice. Users shall use this information at their own risk and consult with professionals, such as medical institutions, as necessary.
3. While the operator strives to ensure the accuracy, currency, and usefulness of information obtained from external sources, the operator does not guarantee its content. The operator assumes no responsibility for differences in expression that arise during the process of translation or summarization.
4. The operator assumes no responsibility whatsoever for any actions taken by Users or any information provided on external websites linked from the Site (such as original source websites).
5. The operator assumes no responsibility for any damages incurred by Users arising from the Service. However, if the contract between the operator and the User regarding the Service (including these Terms) qualifies as a consumer contract under the Consumer Contract Act of Japan, this disclaimer provision shall not apply to the extent prohibited by law.

Article 6 (Changes to the Terms of Service)

The operator reserves the right to modify these Terms without obtaining the consent of Users. In the event that these Terms are modified, the operator will determine the effective date of the revised Terms and notify Users in advance on the Site.
